Is it really legal to pay only €1?
Yes. The CAE program is regulated by Royal Decree 36/2023 and managed by the IDAE (Spain's Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving). Large energy companies are required by law to fund energy efficiency works in private homes. The symbolic €1 corresponds to the beneficiary's commitment.
Is my home eligible?
In most cases yes, if the home was built before 2007, has accessible attic space, and you are the owner (or have the owner's authorisation). Eligibility is confirmed by a free technical assessment with no commitment.
How much will I really save?
Between 20% and 30% of annual energy bills according to IDAE data. In Castile and León (harsh winters), typical savings for a 120 m² home are €800-1,500 per year.
What materials are used?
A1-classified mineral wool (non-combustible) from European manufacturers: URSA, ISOVER, Knauf Insulation. All certified with EUROFINS Indoor Air Comfort Gold for indoor air quality.
How long does installation take?
Between 3 and 6 hours for most homes, in a single day. Technicians protect living spaces and leave the area clean upon completion.
